Seattle Eating Disorder & Trauma Therapist

I chose the word “honor” to represent my practice because being a witness to people’s lives and stories as a therapist really is one of my life’s greatest honors. I have also been “the client” sitting on the other side of the couch (or screen) and I understand the courage and vulnerability it takes.

How I work:

My 1-1 sessions are personalized, unique to you, and collaborative. That said, here are some foundations of my practice:

  • Health at Every Size (HAES) and Intuitive Eating: These philosophies are about getting out of the cycle of dieting, acknowledging body diversity, and finding more nuanced and personalized definitions of health.

  • Psychotherapy: My belief as a therapist is that meaningful change is about becoming more of yourself. I have experience working with many different evidenced based therapies, but this belief guides much of my work. The modalities I use most in my practice are IFS, attachment theory, lifespan integration & EMDR (for trauma treatment), RO-DBT, ACT, and CBT or exposure work (ERP).

  • Advocacy: I am a fierce advocate for my clients rights to health care, respect, and spaces where they can feel safe in this challenging world.

Why Work With Me?

Prior to founding Honor Nutrition and Counseling I worked in several settings here in Seattle, Washington. After receiving my undergraduate degree in nutrition I began gaining experience working alongside licensed dietitians in small clinics here in Seattle, WA. From there, I went back to school for my masters and continued gaining more experience in nutrition and counseling. Every step of my nutrition career has shown me the value and interconnectedness of nutrition and mental health.
